Terms of Service

§1 Scope

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of the MaskBeforeAI browser extension and related services provided by Kisum GmbH, Sonnwendjochstr. 6, 81825 München, Germany ("we", "us", "our").

By installing or using MaskBeforeAI, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the extension.

§2 Service Description

  • Free tier: Browser extension for manual image masking on supported AI platforms. Supports one image at a time with blur, pixelate, and black box redaction modes.
  • Pro (€19.99/year): Adds document masking for PDFs, code files, and text files. Includes multi-page review and masked PDF export.
  • Lifetime (€49.99 one-time): Same features as Pro with a perpetual license. All future Pro updates included.
  • Enterprise: Custom AI-powered detection features including face detection, OCR, and NER. Contact info@ki-sum.ai for details.

§3 Registration & License Keys

Pro and Lifetime licenses are activated via a license key provided after purchase. Each license key is valid for one user. License keys are non-transferable.

§4 Payments

All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC), which acts as the Merchant of Record. All prices include applicable VAT. Lemon Squeezy handles invoicing and tax compliance.

§5 Right of Withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht)

Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases.

However, by purchasing and activating a license key, you expressly consent to the immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal expires once the digital content (license key) has been delivered and you have begun using the software.

§6 Pro Subscription Renewal

Pro subscriptions renew automatically on an annual basis. You may cancel at any time via the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to Pro features until then.

§7 Liability

The extension is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Kisum GmbH is not liable for any data loss, damages, or other claims resulting from the use of the extension.

Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim. This limitation does not apply to damages caused by intent or gross negligence, or in cases where liability cannot be excluded by law.

§8 Data Protection

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

§9 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the extension after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

§10 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The court of jurisdiction is München, Germany, to the extent permitted by law.
